Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist Director of Sales in the support and growth of the Rather Outdoor brand portfolio in the fishing categories at Walmart.
  • Assist in building and maintaining the relationship between Rather Outdoors and the Walmart merchant teams.
  • Provide best in class support to the Walmart fishing category team and react to their needs with the highest sense of urgency.
  • Utilize POS data, industry trends, and consumer insights to help grow market share, sales, and profits for the Company.
  • Effectively communicate with cross-functional internal teams to successfully manage the company’s existing business through demand planning, sales forecasting, product development, and promotional planning.
  • Work closely with eCommerce and marketing teams to develop and implement Walmart.com initiatives.
  • Leverage our brands and product mix to meet all customer, consumer, and company targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong passion for the fishing industry and actively participate in the sport.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently create opportunities without direct supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and an exceptional drive for results.
  • Must possess strong customer interaction and negotiation skills.
  • Must possess strong management skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Windows based computer applications skills.
  • Fishing or Outdoor Industry experience preferred.

Additional Requirements:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, when attending trade shows and other events, standing for up to 8 hours a day may be requires, along with moderate lifting, bending, pushing and/or pulling.
